James Terry, Director of Training

James has over 30 years of experience in occupational training and management. He is well versed in both the on-the-job practical applications of HVAC/R skills, as well as current teaching theory and training techniques. Prior to his work at Career Training Institute, he was well respected as the Training Manager at Goodyear Dunlop's Huntsville plant and as a Safety Instructor with a local Community College. As Director of Training, James ensures our training program is compliant with industry requirements (EPA, OSHA, etc.) and that our graduates are ready for immediate on-the-job success.

Wayne Brooks, Lab Supervisor

Wayne has over 20 years of experience in the HVAC/R industry. In the years before joining our team, Wayne worked installing and servicing HVAC units, ducting systems, chillers, and boilers. Wayne is licensed by the State of Alabama Board of Heating and Air Conditioning Contractors and brings with him a wealth of practical knowledge that ensures our learning lab is equipped with the same systems that technicians use in the field. He oversees students' time in the lab and monitors the laboratory portion of the curriculum.

All instructors are respected industry professionals, actively involved in many aspects of the AC/R community.
