Employment Data

Demand for entry-level certified technicians is high all around the country. Of course, pay can vary from region to region. Because of this, we recommend you research the average pay in your area. To give you an idea of what you can expect as a graduate from our program, below is general employment data:

  • Our students average just over $14/hour in the entry-level jobs they accept immediately following graduation. In the first 30-90 days on the job, many see a $1-2/hour raise.

  • Graduates from CTI typically accept jobs paying from $10-$20 per hour.

  • Approximately 85% of our graduate students have accepted employment directly related to refrigeration and air conditiong.

  • Most students leave CTI with 3-6 interviews scheduled for them in the weeks following graduation.

  • Our most successful graduates attend every interview, follow up on every employment lead, and work with us daily to help create the opportunity that gets their new career started

  • Our Job Placement Department finds it generally takes 25 – 30 calls, faxes, and/or emails to set up a quality interview. This means a CTI representative makes between 100 and 150 contacts on behalf of each student.
